Platform fighters
A Smash-like platform fighter you can play in your browser
Knockrift is a free platform fighter in the spirit of Super Smash Bros. and Brawlhalla that runs in the browser, on PC, phone and tablet, with nothing to install.
What makes a game “Smash-like”
- Percent instead of a health bar. Every hit raises the damage you've taken, and the higher it is, the farther hits send you.
- Ring-outs, not knockouts. You win by launching rivals off the stage and past the edge of the screen; each time costs them a stock.
- Platforms and recovery. Stages have ledges and platforms, and getting back after a hit (double jump, an up special, grabbing the ledge) is half the game.
- Simple inputs, deep play. A direction plus a button gives each move: no motion inputs to memorize, plenty of technique to master.
- Up to four at once. Free-for-all chaos or teams, on one screen or online.
Knockrift has all of it: 8 champions from shattered worlds, 8 worlds with their own hazards, 13 weapons, a Rift Burst super for every fighter, and the techniques players of the genre expect (see how to play).

Why try Knockrift if you like Smash
Instant
It runs in the browser: share a link and your friends are playing in seconds, on a PC, a phone or a tablet.
Rollback online
Online matches use rollback netcode, the same approach modern fighting games use to keep inputs responsive over distance.
Couch play
Up to 4 on one screen: two on the keyboard, the rest on controllers, with each brand’s buttons shown on screen.
Depth to dig into
Short hops, wavedash, ledge options, techs, stale moves and a training mode with frame data, save states and inputs on screen.
A story mode
Arcade: six fights per champion through their story, all the way to the Prism’s Core, with dialogue and a boss.
Fair
Free to play and never pay to win: the shop sells looks, not power.
